About the role

Are you a skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to work on ongoing projects based in Cairns region and remote work from Cairns. Look no further We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team.

Skills & Attributes

- Current driving licence

- Certificate in Laboratory Techniques, or relevant chemistry related science qualification

- At least one year laboratory technician experience

- Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical hazards or ability to acquire

- Effective time and workload management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

- Concrete experience is desirable

- Full Australian working rights

Key Duties

- Work flexible hours (days, nights, weekends, away)

- Enter and process analytical data with the Laboratory Information Management System

- Regular retention and disposal of completed laboratory samples and test solutions

- Ensure quality of results as per NATA requirements, including maintenance and calibration of equipment

- Capable of following general safe practices in accordance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act
