About the Role
We’re looking for an Interior Designer – Residential to take the lead on coordinating, styling, and maintaining our display homes, sales offices, and presentation spaces.
This hands-on role bridges Sales, Design, and Marketing, ensuring every project looks exceptional and runs smoothly from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Display Homes: Coordinate setup, installation, and styling of display homes, managing suppliers, trades, and warehouse logistics.
- Sales Offices: Work alongside our Commercial Interior Designers to coordinate and install both permanent and temporary sales offices.
- Home Styling: Curate furniture, finishes, and décor that align with GemLife’s brand and customer appeal. A portfolio of styling work is highly desirable.
- Colour & Material Selections: Collaborate with the Residential Design team on façade and interior palettes, driving consistent design themes across communities.
- Inclusions Management: Maintain and evolve inclusions packages, updating documentation with Sales, Estimating, and Drafting teams as products change.
- Documentation & Coordination: Review plotting plans, manage product selections, and ensure documentation accuracy across departments.
- Warehouse Oversight: Oversee FF&E storage and organisation for display homes.
- Custom Home Support: Participate in design reviews with Drafting and Sales teams.
- Parks & Stage Walkthroughs: Support presentation standards through on-site inspections and project reviews.
About You
You’re a proactive coordinator with a passion for design and an eye for detail. You thrive in a busy environment, balancing multiple priorities while keeping presentation and quality top of mind.
You’ll also bring:
- 5 - 10 years' experience in residential design, interiors, or supplier coordination (backgrounds with companies such as Tradelink, Reece, or Beaumont Tiles are ideal).
- Previous experience with production home builders required.
- Strong organisation and project management skills.
- A keen eye for styling, colour, and visual detail.
- Confidence collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A proactive, hands-on approach — you take ownership and get things done.
