Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at up to $151,704.00. Base salary ranges from $87,550.00 to $133,846.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Location details: Penrith Valley Learning Centre draws students from a variety of areas throughout Greater Western Sydney. The school serves a diverse community of student families and caregivers with 49 students who present with a range of complex emotional, behavioural and sensory needs, including 50% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Position Information

Penrith Valley Learning Centre (PVLC) delivers evidence-based programs to enhance academic and wellbeing outcomes for Stages 3–6. The school focuses on literacy and numeracy improvement and supports well-being through a diverse range of programs.

1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with emotional disturbance (primary and secondary) and behaviour difficulties.

2. Demonstrated capacity to collaborate to plan, deliver and report on highly differentiated quality teaching and learning programs that ensure academic growth.

3. Demonstrated classroom management skills that support the learning, behavioural and wellbeing needs of a range of students.

4. Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policies.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

This is a permanent part-time position for 3 days per week (0.6 FTE).
