Overview

Riverina Cancer Care Centre (RCCC) (Care Care Associates) is a regional cancer service delivering safe, patient-centred radiation oncology in Wagga Wagga. We operate CT simulation and linear accelerators within a multidisciplinary team of radiation oncologists, medical physicists/dosimetrists, radiation therapists, oncology nurses and admin staff.

The role

We're seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide frontline coverage across CT simulation and treatment delivery on our linear accelerators. You'll report to the Chief Radiation Therapist and work closely with physics/dosimetry and radiation oncologists to deliver accurate, timely treatment and great patient care.

Responsibilities

- Receive prescriptions and prepare patients for CT simulation and radiotherapy.
- Operate CT simulators and linacs with IGRT (e.g., kV/MV imaging, CBCT) and follow verification protocols.
- Contribute to plan checks and QA in collaboration with physicists/dosimetrists.
- Educate and support patients; monitor tolerance and escalate as needed.
- Maintain accurate records in oncology information systems (ARIA preferred; MOSAIQ useful).
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and WHS procedures; participate in audits and continuous improvement.
- Support teaching/supervision of junior staff as appropriate to your level.

About you

- AHPRA registration (or eligibility) as a Radiation Therapist/Therapeutic Radiographer.
- NSW radiation user licence (or eligibility to obtain).
- Solid experience in CT simulation and linac delivery with IMRT/VMAT and IGRT workflows.
