Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Perl Developer with strong Linux/Unix background to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining Perl-based applications, scripting in Linux environments, and working with large-scale systems or data processing platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Perl applications and scripts.

Optimize existing Perl code for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Develop and automate system administration tasks using shell scripting or Perl in a Linux environment.

Integrate with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) and third-party APIs.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and development environments.

Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other development teams for seamless deployments and updates.

Document software designs, technical specifications, and support procedures.

Ensure adherence to software development best practices and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in Perl development.

Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting (Bash, etc.).

Experience with regex, text processing, and data parsing.

Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and writing optimized SQL queries.

Experience with version control systems (Git preferred).

Solid understanding of system performance, scalability, and security.

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
