We are seeking to establish a pool of Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer’s for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year.

Riverside Primary School is a Level 5 Independent Public school with approximately 465 students enrolled in Kindergarten to Year 6.

The Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer assists teachers in delivering planned education programs and encourages a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The suitable applicants will act as a liaison between the community and school to develop an educational program relevant to both educational and cultural needs and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through mentoring and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist teachers in delivering planned education programs
- Encourage a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Act as a liaison between the community and school
- Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through mentoring and pastoral care

Selection Criteria:

- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a school-level team and provide multi-cultural direction
- Demonstrated ability to effectively assist teachers in implementing educational and behaviour management programs
