Responsible for daily and periodic communication and documentation related to all building services and laundry department functions.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Specific:

- Maintains adequate supply inventories. Places orders for cleaning supplies, paper products, linen, Laundry chemicals and contract cleaning services for the hospital and off-site facilities. (EF)
- Keeps accurate records of all vendor communication, purchases and manifests. (EF)
- Provides hospital laundry productivity reports and linen inventories utilizing vendor supplied proprietary software program. (EF)
- Maintains staff time and attendance records and reports. (EF)
- Assists department manager and director in proactive problem solving.
- Assist department manager and director in policy/procedure updates.

Hospital:

- Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
- Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
- Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
- Performs withinprofessional Scope of Practice at all times.

Preferred: At least two years of college

EXPERIENCE

Required: Two years basic computer work station experience handling office communications.

Preferred: Four years’ experience as office secretary/administrative assistant.

Special Skills and Abilities:

Required: Basic computer work station skills and strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred: Advanced computer work station skills combined with strong communication skills

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required: None

Preferred: Certified administrative assistant
