Trident Services are seeking dedicated Part Time Aviation Protection Officers at Mackay Airport.

Position Overview

If you have full working rights and currently living in Mackay, we are looking for you. No previous experience required; we will put you through PAID training including a Certificate 2 in Transport Security. Your role will see you screening passengers through the security screening point as well as learning a range of other aviation security skills, utilizing the most advanced security screening equipment in Australia.

Job Responsibilities

- Demonstrated ability to engage with customers, consistently providing a high quality, positive experience.

- Demonstrated potential to undertake screening activities in a fast‑paced airport environment.

- Applied skills, knowledge, and physical ability to perform all Security and Safety emergency procedures.

- Ensure compliance with security and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

- Consistently display professional standards of behavior and personal presentation.

- The ability to work in a fast‑paced ever‑changing team environment.

- Utilize excellent verbal communication skills.

- Complete incident reports as required.

- Engage with travellers and visitors in a positive manner when they are transiting through, arriving at and departing the terminal.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Ability to obtain/endorse for Aviation Transport Security Protection Qualification (TSP).

- Great communication skills & customer service skills.

- A willingness to learn & be part of a team environment.

- Ability to obtain an ASIC Card – Full criminal history check.

- Ability to pass a drug & alcohol check.

- Driver's licence and transport.

- Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
