Opal Fibre Packaging provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join the team at our site in Launceston in the afternoon shift.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Providing high-quality, timely maintenance services
- Support and uphold Opal’s Health, Safety & Environment strategy and policies
- Drive efficient preventative maintenance and continuous improvement using SAP
- Offer technical support, troubleshoot issues, and enhance reliability
- Contribute to reporting improvements, standardisation, and process enhancements across the commercial team

- A current Electrical Practitioner Licence (TAS)
- A motivated, professional attitude and strong safety commitment
- Solid understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling
- Knowledge of JSEA, Risk Assessments, Working Permits, and LOTO
- A proactive mindset with a passion for safety and equipment reliability
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems, including:
- SCADA and ABB automation systems
- AC/DC motors, variable speed drives, safety interlocks and controls
