Overview

bestchance Child Family Care is seeking a Therapy Assistant – Level 1 to join our Children’s Therapy team. Reporting to the Team Manager – Children’s Therapy Services, the role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of allied health professionals to integrate the developmental and therapy needs of children ages 0–10 years with developmental delays or disabilities. The position is based at our Notting Hill office.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support developmental and therapy needs of children aged 0–10 with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Assist with planning and delivery of therapy services under supervision, contributing to the child’s progress and outcomes.
- Engage with children, families and stakeholders from diverse social and cultural backgrounds to develop rapport and positive working relationships.
- Record observations and contribute to documentation and planning as directed by the supervising therapists.

Qualifications

- Currently working towards a degree and towards professional registration in a relevant Allied Health field.
- Ability to demonstrate growing or demonstrated knowledge to support children with developmental delay and disability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, positive approach.

All bestchance Children’s Therapy Services staff are required to hold a WWCC and be able to provide a satisfactory National/International Criminal History Check and NDIS Screening Clearance prior to employment.
