(Urgent) Medical Receptionist

Join our team within an exciting, growing company in a key role as an experienced administrator.
At our state-of-the-art Cancer Care Griffith (CCG) centre, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrator to join us in a permanent full time position, Monday to Friday inclusive.
This supports our passionate and dynamic team in delivering high-quality cancer care services to the local community. As part of a patient-centric organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional care for our patients. This role reports directly to the Centre Manager.
What’s Involved:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience in oncology or radiation therapy administration. In this collaborative environment, your responsibilities will include:
- Patient liaison: Welcoming patients, answering calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments.
- Patient administration: Billing, accurate data entry in our e-management system (Mosaiq), and managing records.
- Liaising with hospitals, specialists, and allied health professionals.
- Supporting doctors, coordinating with nurses, and assisting allied health staff in delivering patient care.
Who You Are:
- Demonstrated ability to work with empathy and compassion.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and learn new skills in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in a hospital or day hospital setting is desirable.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
What You Bring:
- Experience in a medical practice or oncology setting is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use multiple software systems and proficient in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
