About Northern Health:

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

About the Role:

The Occupational Therapy service at Northern Health prides itself on being inclusive, supportive and committed to evidence-based practice.

We are a team driven by positive patient outcomes and team work. The NH OT service employs over 100 staff and are consistently striving to provide opportunities to support staff growth and development.

Our Occupational Therapists work across many areas of practice including:

- Acute
- Sub-acute (Tehabilitation, GEM and Transitional services)
- Home based services
- Community Rehabilitation
- Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and NDIS
- Hand Therapy
- Pediatrics (Neonatal ward and outpatients)

By applying to the Talent Pool, you will be kept abreast of multiple opportunities suitable to your key interest and skill areas of Occupational Therapy practice, and have the opportunity to find a role that meets your needs.

There are often a mix of permanent, fixed term and casual roles available, at either full time or part time. Further, by applying to our Talent Pool you will be linked in to relevant internal professional development opportunities.

Please review the attached PDs for relevant Grade 1, 2 and 3 roles and responsibilities.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience and good working knowledge of inpatient and/or community settings of Occupational Therapy practice
- Proven ability to thrive in a team environment and enjoy working in a large department
- Committed to evidence-based practice
- A positive attitude to lifelong learning and enjoys supporting staff and students alike (as relevant to your role description).
