What you will do

At Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Brisbane South, our Mechanics have the opportunity to work on Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Mack and UD Trucks, some of Australia’s most innovative transport brands. We are seeking highly skilled and qualified mechanics to join our dynamic dealership in Wacol, for both our day and afternoon shifts.

As a Mechanic, your role will include:

- Steering and suspension repairs
- Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
- Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
- Preventative maintenance services and repairs
- Offisite and breakdown repairs

Your future team

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the VCV Brisbane South team of roughly 100 is made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Service Advisor’s and Costing Clerk’s. The team pride themselves on running a quality and highly efficient operation, in a supportive and good-humoured team environment. You will be based full time at the dealership in Wacol, which sits beside our Volvo Group Australia head office.

- A Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification or Light Vehicle mechanical qualification
- Solid experience working with truck or light vehicle brands
- Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
- A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
- A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
