NBMLHD – Visiting Medical Officer - Interventional Radiology

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Interventional Radiology.

Employment Details:
Employment Type: Quinquennium ending 30 June 2027
Position Classification: Visiting Medical Officer – Interventional Radiology
Hours Per Week: up to 800 hours per annum

Position Details:
Successful applicants will be expected to perform clinical duties including angiography and interventional procedures.

The position will be primarily located at Nepean Hospital within the Department of Medical Imaging.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

- Possess or be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Radiology or equivalent.
- Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Sound clinical knowledge in radiology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
- Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical/Dental Practitioner.

Conditions of Appointment:
Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Health Services Act 1997, and Public Hospitals (Visiting Medical Officers Sessional Contracts) Determination 2014.
