We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our Finance Team on a contract basis as a Finance Officer. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the accuracy of our financial reporting, upholding our commitment to transparency and operational excellence. You’ll also support our local economy by ensuring timely payment of supplier invoices and contribute to strong financial management that enables us to deliver outcomes our community values—responsibly and sustainably.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Providing an exceptional customer experience for all internal and external customers.
- Maintaining the supplier database with the highest levels of integrity.
- Processing and paying supplier invoices in accordance with agreed payment terms.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant taxation and legislative obligations.
- Ensuring Council has effective oversight of corporate purchase cards.
- Contributing to a cohesive, engaged, and agile team environment.
- Identifying and embracing opportunities for improvement.
The successful applicant will have:
- Administrative experience within a Local Government environment is desirable.
- Experience working effectively within a busy accounts payable function is desirable.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of general office procedures.
- Fast and accurate data entry skills.

This is a Level 3 position which has a current salary range of $85,842 - $92,318 per annum (plus Super).
