We are seeking a Case Manager/Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officer to take on a dynamic dual role that combines case management with court assessment and prosecutions.
In this position, you will:
- Assess individuals and provide advice to the court on their suitability for court orders.
- Facilitate variations to orders and prosecute non-compliance when necessary.
- Manage a caseload of individuals assessed at medium to high risk of reoffending, applying evidence-based case management practices.
- Engage, motivate and influence people to adopt pro-social behaviours, while ensuring community safety remains a priority.
This is a unique opportunity to apply both your analytical skills and your ability to build positive working relationships with individuals facing complex challenges.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Experience or understanding of effective case management practices, including managing risk with complex individuals.
- Confidence in working with people displaying challenging behaviours, demonstrating assertiveness and resilience.
- Knowledge or understanding of court processes, prosecutions, or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate change.
A qualification in social work, law, human services, criminal justice, criminology—or relevant experience in court advice, assessments, or prosecutions—is highly regarded.
Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practicesthat reduce reoffendingandconnect individuals toprograms,servicesand community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
