About the role

As the Major Projects Project Coordinator/Officer, this position is responsible for providing project management and administrative support.

Experience in applying project management principles within a multi-disciplinary team environment is required. The role works closely with the Southwark Grounds project team to prepare and monitor standard project management tools and templates. An interest in property development and experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment is required.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating project information to help achieve project outcomes and governance aligned with the project vision, agreed objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Supporting the major projects team with procurement, design, construction, sales, asset management, and safety coordination activities to meet project objectives.
- Maintaining systems and databases to ensure information accuracy for decision-making, efficient operations, and stakeholder management.
- Assisting with the transition to a new project and program management software solution, and supporting the input of regular project updates to satisfy Renewal SA’s project governance requirements.
- Scoping and managing discrete project management tasks with support from the broader project management team, including site operation and consultant activities.
- Coordinating updates to progress reports for senior management, covering financial, technical, and schedule performance metrics coordinating inputs from a range of different staff members.
- Written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under broad direction.

About the project

Renewal SA is redeveloping the former West End Brewery site, now Southwark Grounds, into a mixed-use community just 2km from the Adelaide CBD. The project includes a diverse range of housing, employment and new landscape spaces for the community, including a major upgrade to the Karrawirra Parri/River Torrens.

Master Planning is complete, and the project was launched to delivery partners in April 2025, involving a number of boutique apartment and townhouse sites and a major 1000+ residential outcome master precinct opportunity. Negotiations are currently underway with future development partners.

Across 2026, the project has significant delivery ambitions with major civil and landscape works to commence along with supporting development partners to achieve contract milestones as the project moves into delivery.

To support the existing Major Projects team, a range of roles are available at Southwark Grounds across project delivery, development management and project coordination.

- Experience supporting project delivery within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in project management tools, systems, and reporting processes.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- A relevant qualification in project management, business support or administration (or equivalent experience).
