Senior Insurance Accountant

Key Responsibilities

- Manage insurance technical accounting processes including premiums, claims, reserves, reinsurance reporting, and settlements.
- Oversee month-end close and contribute to quarterly group consolidation reporting.
- Ensure accurate alignment between local GAAP and group reporting under IFRS17.
- Lead testing and implementation of a new accounting system across ANZ.
- Analyse financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain strong financial controls.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
- Minimum 3+ years' accounting experience in the insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS17 and ability to navigate local GAAP vs. group reporting.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
