What you’ll be doing:
As the Senior Partnerships Specialist, you’ll take the lead in driving the growth of new partners within the Virgin Australia Business Flyer program. Based in Sydney, this role is instrumental in delivering commercial success through strategic planning, strong relationship management, and innovative partnership execution.
You’ll own the development and delivery of a comprehensive growth plan shaping marketing and innovation strategies, leading end-to-end campaign execution, and managing contract negotiations to achieve exceptional outcomes for both Virgin Australia and our partners.
In addition, you will:
- Lead the growth and success of key Virgin Australia Business Flyer partners through strategic planning, marketing innovation, and commercial delivery.
- Develop and execute tailored partnership strategies covering product, pricing, data insights, and campaign initiatives to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Own end-to-end campaign management, from concept and briefing through to execution, optimisation, and performance reporting.
- Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with partners and internal stakeholders, acting as the key point of contact across multiple business areas. Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities, leading negotiations and delivering high-value collaborations that enhance member engagement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Data Analytics to deliver seamless member experiences and partner results.
- Analyse performance and commercial outcomes, managing budgets, forecasts, and reporting to ensure partnerships deliver maximum growth and value.
You’ll be great for the role if you:
- 5+ years of commercial experience in partnerships, loyalty, or a related consumer or B2B environment such as financial services, telco, utilities, or insurance.
- A strong background in loyalty programs, with a solid understanding of the partnership and rewards landscape.
- Proven experience leading complex projects — from planning and budgeting through to delivery and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders and external partners.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret data, build business cases, and identify growth opportunities.
- Demonstrated negotiation and contract management experience, with a track record of delivering mutually beneficial outcomes.
- A collaborative and innovative mindset — someone who thrives on solving problems, testing new ideas, and driving results.
