As Program Manager, Health Innovation & Entrepreneurship, you will deliver hands-on, high-impact programs that build entrepreneurial capability among clinicians, researchers, students, and industry collaborators.

You’ll be at the heart of a vibrant ecosystem, helping to translate health innovation into meaningful outcomes for communities across regional and remote Australia.

In this role you will:

- Build strong relationships with clinicians, researchers, and stakeholders across the University, Hunter New England Local Health District, and Hunter Medical Research Institute to uncover high-value challenges and opportunities for innovation.
- Translate insights gathered through collaboration and conversation into bespoke, hands-on entrepreneurial programs that support the development of practical health solutions.
- Lead the design and delivery of tailored events and workshops, both online and in-person, that build entrepreneurial capability and foster cross-disciplinary problem solving.
- Create open, collaborative environments that encourage knowledge sharing, networking, and innovation, while recognising the time constraints of clinical staff and designing programs that are practical, engaging, and impactful.

This 2-year fixed term position is full time and will be located at John Hunter Hospital.

You will have:

- A strong understanding of the healthcare system and experience working with clinicians, researchers, or health-focused startups to deliver innovative solutions.
- Proven ability to design and facilitate impactful programs and workshops, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for entrepreneurship and innovation, with experience navigating complex ecosystems and driving measurable outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $116,596 to $136,030 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Health innovation plays a critical role in strengthening healthcare ecosystems by enabling clinicians, researchers, and industry partners to collaboratively solve high-value problems. This role requires designing and delivering hands-on entrepreneurial programs for time-poor clinicians and researchers within the John Hunter Health Innovation Precinct.

Drawing on your most relevant experience, describe a program or initiative you led that was designed to build innovative or entrepreneurial capability to solve a specific challenge within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment (healthcare, university research or industry partnership).
