NDY Section Manager – Fire Safety Engineering, Perth

As the Section Manager within the Fire Safety Engineering Global Specialist Group, you will leverage your deep technical expertise to lead independent work and oversee the quality and accuracy of your team’s outputs. You’ll play a key role in establishing a strong market presence in Western Australia, cultivating existing and new client relationships, and managing stakeholder expectations and resource allocation throughout project delivery.

You will lead the fire engineering team in Perth, delivering high-quality fire safety solutions, managing technical resources and staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.

- Provide leadership in Perth office and help grow the Fire Engineering team
- Oversee the design and delivery of innovative fire safety engineering solutions across diverse projects
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated fire safety strategies
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national codes, standards, and best practices
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful outcomes
- Conduct technical reviews and offer expert guidance on complex fire engineering challenges
- Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for stakeholders

About You

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Preferably with a master’s or post-graduate degree in Fire Engineering
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or having the qualifications/experience to obtaining this in the near future
- Demonstrated experience in fire engineering design and project management, ideally within a consultancy environment
- In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
