About the Role

- Employment Type: Casual
- Casual 8-12 hr shifts
- 24/7 availability required
- Covid 19 - Vaccinations: 3 doses are required
- X-ray Screening – Walk-through metal detector (WTMD) and Handheld metal detector (HHMD) skills preferred

Wilson Security is expanding in Melbourne, VIC, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the whole state. This growth has created new roles focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients. These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and positions. We are seeking dedicated and experienced Security Officers to join our team in a hospital environment located in Melbourne.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Emergency response in dealing with internal and external breaches.
- Competent in the use of physical and mechanical restraints for patient transport and patient watch.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming environment for staff, patients and visitors.
- Regularly patrol the premises and report any suspicious activity.
- Perform Lock/Unlock and security checks.
- Fire panel and evacuation response.
- Writing daily activity reports into the reporting system.
- X-ray Screening – Walk-through metal detector (WTMD) and Handheld metal detector (HHMD) skills preferred.

Who We Are Looking For

- Australian Citizenship or full working rights.
- Valid Victorian Security License (minimum 1 year of experience).
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- COVID-19 vaccinations (three doses, including booster).
- Willingness to undergo a blood test for compliance purposes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and associated programs.
- Professional presentation and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work 24/7, rotating 8-12 hour shifts.
