Team Leader Community Development – Full Time - Salary: $102,340 - $108,555 per annum - Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply) - Ref No: 24-131 The Community Development team coordinates a range of programs, activities and events that develop a strong, resilient and connected community. We are looking for a qualified team leader with experience in leading, managing and coaching at an individual and team level as well as effective communication skills in engaging and building purposeful mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders. The successful candidate will assist with the strategic plan of community development operations at the City and be responsible for planning, developing, and reviewing the associated policy and procedures. Familiarity with contemporary community development theory, principles and practices in community development and capacity building programs in a local government context is essential. Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria: - Coaching and people management including supervising, leading teams and performance. - Business planning, organisation, time management skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple competing deadlines. - Written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and correspondence. - Interpersonal skills to identify, address and progress community development issues toward positive outcomes and build mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders. - Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Youth Work, Social / Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, or other relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
