About the position…

The Financial Controller plays a critical role in financial management and growth for the Groups brands.

This role acts as strategic finance and business partner to the leadership teams across multiple brands. Reporting & working closely to the CFO, you will help shape financial strategy and business decisions that directly drive commercial success. This role goes well beyond compliance and reporting - it's about using data-driven insights to influence decisions, identify growth opportunities, and proactively improve profitability across the group.

Responsibilities

- Act as a trusted financial advisor to all brand leaders and key business units, providing insights and support that drive informed commercial decisions.

- Translate complex financial data into strategic narratives and recommendations aligned to business goals.

- Lead analysis that uncovers profit improvement opportunities across revenue, pricing, cost structures, and operational efficiency.

- Develop business cases for new initiatives, product launches, and expansion opportunities across the franchise network.

- Own the group budgeting, reforecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

- Deliver accurate and meaningful monthly reporting packs with commentary tailored to non-finance audiences.

- Present key financial and commercial insights to the CFO and leadership team regularly.

- Supervise all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner across both associates as well as head office and agency staff.

- Lead and develop a small finance team (including Management Accountants and Analysts), fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and commercial thinking.

- Build strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with Operations, Marketing, and Franchise Development.

- Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations

- Be a thought leader in technology, AI and Cyber security to provide input into new technology to support posture hardening, growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a proactive finance leader with the ability to partner with key stakeholders and senior leaders in the business. You will also possess strong analytical & problem-solving capability, with a flair for leading people.

- CA/CPA qualified with at least 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance, including a strong grounding in commercial finance and senior business partnering roles.

- Experience in a multi-brand, franchise or high-growth consumer business is highly desirable.

- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset - you connect financial outcomes to business activity with ease.

- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues

- Proven ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders and influence decisions.

- Proactive, solution-focused and thrives in fast-moving, evolving environments.

- Passion for leadership and developing others.

- Ability to work in a team environment
