The Opportunity
Concierge Balwyn Retirement Living is a welcoming community superbly positioned in one of Melbourne's most liveable and leafy suburbs - Balwyn. Working closely with the Chef Manager, you'll prepare, cook and present meals in our new Clubhouse restaurant and for our daily dining room residents. As a hands-on Chef, you'll have experience in volume catering with high standards of meal presentation. If you enjoy working autonomously and in a small team, this is a great opportunity.

This is a Part-time position working only Weekends (Sat-Sun): from 10:30 am - 6:30 pm

You will:

- Ensure quality meal services to residents and any visitors to the restaurant
- Prepare, cook, present and deliver meals according to recipes with high attention to detail
- Monitor food safety plans and ensure the kitchen is adhering to all OH&S standards
- Manage stock - assist with ordering, stock rotation, stocktake etc.
- Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook/Chef staff to ensure smooth operations

What you'll bring

- Experience in catering/kitchen/hospitality settings (e.g experience in food preparation or Chef roles)
- Certificate III in CommericalCookery (required)
- Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you)
