Type: Locum Contract | Full-time | Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Contract Duration: 7th October – 19th December

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Services team in Mt Isa. This locum position provides an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, supporting clients from intake through treatment evaluation. The role may also involve travel to remote locations within the North West region.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive drug and alcohol assessments and treatment evaluations.
- Apply brief intervention techniques and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Perform specialist psycho-social assessments and monitor client outcomes.
- Support clients with dual diagnosis or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support consumers and their families with complex needs.
