Job Description

We are looking for an OT to join our supportive and social Tamworth team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a wider multidisciplinary team who support each other's challenges and wins. No two days are ever the same You might find us in daycare centres, in schools and homes, and even on outreach trips to Gunnedah and surrounds – we might even bump into you on one of our monthly Wellness Walks down by the river - we love supporting our regional area

Successful candidates will be providing supports to cover NDIS participants living in the following areas (depending on where you live) Tamworth, Watsons Creek, Upper Manilla, Gunnedah, Wallabadah & surrounding areas.

Responsibilities will include:

- Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
- Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
- Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
- Mentor and nurture early career clinicians
- Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

To be successful, you will have:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Occupational Therapist
- A passion for working with vulnerable members of your community
- A desire to share your knowledge and inspire junior clinicians
- The ability to work collaboratively with a large multi-disc team
