The Opportunity

We are seeking an Industrial Relations Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Brisbane team as part of our continued national growth.

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you will work alongside highly regarded specialists and gain exposure to a wide variety of clients, industries and complex industrial relations matters. What You Will Be Doing

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant you will:

- Advise employers on a broad range of industrial relations matters, including minimum legislative and industrial conditions, performance management, disciplinary, dismissal, discrimination, bullying and harassment, redundancy and work-related injury processes.
- Apply advisory and problem-solving skills to interesting and complex client workplace people issues, such as interpreting case law, legislation, contracts, awards and enterprise agreements and drafting amendments or providing advice on compliance and enhancements.
- Analyse evidence for workplace investigations and organisational reviews; draft employer submissions for employment-related claims and undertake conciliation conferences.
- Undertake research and provide advice in support of enterprise bargaining; complete reviews of policies and procedures.
- Have the opportunity to assist in building and managing a portfolio of client relationships across key industry sectors.

About You

We are looking for someone with curiosity, drive and a genuine interest in industrial relations. You will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Industrial Relations and/or Human Resources.
- Experience as an employment lawyer or employee / industrial relations / human resources advisor (desirable).
- The ability to apply advanced research, problem solving and critical reasoning skills.
- Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent client service skills, including the ability to engage with people across a broad spectrum of backgrounds in a professional manner.
