About the role

Protech Cairns are seeking experienced Concreters/Formworkers to be part of our team for various government aligned projects such as small civil works, concreting, pits, landslide remediation works, footpaths, driveways, flood remediation.

Positions will be based in Cairns and surrounding areas.

Key Duties

- Understanding of the processes involved in concreting and formwork
- Capacity to operate and follow safety procedures for using jackhammers
- Able to undertake a number of manual handling/labouring duties
- Assisting with ground preparation including structures/ formwork and use of star pickets
- Capable of following general safe practices in accordance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act
- Willing to work outdoors for extended periods of time including, working autonomously
- MR license is an advantage

Skills & Attributes

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Industry White Card
- Referenced experience in concreting/formwork
- A good attention to detail & standard of work
- Ability to engage with others effectively and professionally
- An honest and reliable work ethic
- Confidence to work unsupervised or in a team environment
