About the Role

Searson Buck is proud to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Hobart seeking an experienced Finance Officer to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations.

You’ll work across accounts, reporting and general business support in a small, professional team that values loyalty, collaboration and consistency.

If you’re someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in doing things well, and wants to stay with a business long term then this is the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Support financial and monthly reporting cycles
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with compliance, budgeting and admin tasks

Systems used include:

- Xero (Accounting)
- Financial and property management software

About You

You’ll bring:

- At least five years of local finance or accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence using Xero and Microsoft Excel
- A practical, team-oriented attitude
- A genuine interest in long-term stability, not just titles or career progression
- You’ll be someone who values purpose, people and balance – to a business that’s doing good work and doing it well.
