Responsible for the development, growth and safe, sustainable delivery of operations of the Gladstone region.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety: Deliver sustainable outcomes in HSE through visible felt leadership and significant personal contribution to HSE improvement strategy.
- Growth & Strategy: Generate and deliver on a growth strategy for the region
- Business Development & Client Stakeholders: Develop and maintain long term client relationships with a view to identifying and delivering Duratec solutions and converting to opportunities.
- Financial Management: Support annual budget creation and monitor performance; contribute to monthly forecasting and WIP reporting and all projects are invoiced monthly compliant with the terms and conditions of contract.
- Workforce Management: Collaborate with P & C team on recruitment, remuneration, performance reviews, and ensure effective supervision and industrial relations harmony.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure efficient use of resources to meet divisional goals and branch objectives.
- Site Oversight: Regularly visit project sites to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Project Support: Oversee projects end-to-end, including startup, scheduling, handover, and regular project meetings
- Budget & Risk Control: Monitor project budgets, address risks and opportunities.
- System Compliance & Improvement: Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of project management systems
- Tendering & Reporting: Ensure professional, high-quality estimates/tender bid/proposals and reports are prepared, checked and submitted within allocated timeframes.
- Engineering Standards: Ensure solutions meet Australian Standards and are fit for purpose.
- Project Performance: Control expenditure and timelines to meet project targets and update client and Company management regularly
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in infrastructure. Mining and energy industries
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with clients in a professional manner
- Extensive project delivery skills including budgeting, coordinating work priorities, cost control, stakeholder management, subcontractor management, documentation and statutory approvals.
- Proven track record of delivering complex remediation projects
- Understanding of Australian mining regulations and coal mining specific challenges
- Leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with FIFO operations and remote workforce management
- Proficient in the use of Primavera, Microsoft Office and MS Project
