Corporate Information Officer

About the Role
You will be responsible for providing accurate, effective and efficient records and information management services to Council. You will undertake a variety of activities including mail and correspondence management, file management and archives management, while also providing administrative support and customer service across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, classifying and registering incoming physical and digital mail into the council's approved Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
- Scanning physical records, assess the quality of digitised documents and apply correct metadata using automated or set processes.
- Creating new physical document files daily and manage the opening and closing of archive boxes in conjunction with electronic file requirements.
- Ensuring records registered into the EDRMS are classified and indexed appropriately.
- Locating and retrieving physical or digital files as required.
- Providing quality customer service to inquiries relating to records and information management operations.
About you
You will require:
- Post-secondary qualifications or a post-trade certificate and / or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience working within a structured office environment with records management requirements.
- Commitment to supporting a team-based working environment.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
- Proven interpersonal skills to deliver concise and timely information.
- Ability to prioritise duties and manage multiple requests effectively.
- Commitment to identifying areas for improvement in daily processes, procedures, and services.
