The Lead Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and ensuring high standards of quality control throughout all phases of dragline and shovel shutdown projects. This role involves managing QC Coordinators, maintaining project quality documentation, and ensuring alignment with Quality Assurance (QA) processes. The QC Lead is accountable for maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in both the Shutdown Management Framework (SDMF) and the Planning Tracking Sheet. You will also lead planning efforts, identify areas for quality improvement, and support the successful execution of dragline and shovel shutdowns.

This role will be based at our Central Queensland Office, opposite Peak Downs Mine. The role is Monday to Friday and has the option of FIFO from Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor QC Coordinators to deliver quality outcomes.

- Develop and manage QC plans aligned with QA standards.

- Maintain and update project documentation (SDMF & tracking sheets).

- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality-focused planning.

- Drive issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Communicate quality performance and elevate concerns effectively.

About You

- Proven leadership in quality control within heavy industry or shutdown environments.

- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and documentation.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- A proactive mindset focused on improvement and accountability.
