TheRole

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Co-Educator to provide floating coverage to our Malvern Campus. You will be a key member of a dedicated and highly motivated team of teachers working in an innovative and supportive learning environment.

This 12-month fixed term opportunity will be across 5 days from 11.00-6.00pm, 11.00am-2.15pm in the ELC and then 3.00pm-6.00pm in our OSHC program during term time and 11.00am-6.00pm in OSHC during the holiday program. As such this role is required to work during the school holidays and is entitled to 4 weeks of annual leave per year.

KeyDuties

- Support the design and implementation of teaching activities and strategies based on knowledge of student’s physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.

- Actively contribute ideas resulting in implementation of a stimulating educational program for students that reflect current research and best practice models in early childhood.

- Support the ELC teachers in all aspects of the management of student behaviour, and organisation of the centre.

- Support the ELC children who attend the OSHC program.

- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviour.

Skills and Experience

- Experience working with children with additional needs will be highly advantageous.

- Diploma of Early Childhood and Care.

- Experience with three, four and five year olds is essential.

- Current First Aid Certificate Level 2, Anaphylaxis Certificate, and Asthma training.

- Employment Working With Children Check.
