Manningham Council has over 42 high quality bushlandreserves within our ‘Green Wedge’ area, and a number within the urban areawhich require a dedicated professional to actively manage. About the role

As BushlandManagement Officer, you will play a key role in managing the Bushland Contractand reviewing the integrity and function of this contract. You will identify opportunitiesto enhance existing environmental community groups and expand such communitynetworks. You will work within a dynamic team on broader conversation programs supported byCouncil.

Skills and experience

Ideally you will have the following skills:

- Demonstratedknowledge and experience in bushland practices with a vision to protect andenhance the natural environment.
- Experiencein the management of bushland contracts.
- Experienceworking with bushland contractors, and volunteers relating to conservation.
- Strongplant ID and botanic knowledge with the ability to communicate and educateothers in the importance of ecosystem health.
- Familiaritywith budget management and grant applications.
