Monash is home to a broad range of significant bushland reserves, wetlands and waterways. Council manages more than 260 hectares of bushland, which is contained mainly in the 42 reserves across Monash. These areas are of high biodiversity value, offering natural places to enjoy and explore while providing essential ecosystems functions.

**About the Position**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide excellent standard of bushland and conservation maintenance in remnant and revegetation reserves for the City of Monash. The role will maintain a range of bushland reserves using well-developed natural resource establishment and maintenance management techniques including but not limited to:
Revegetation and indigenous garden bed maintenance

Riparian and wetland maintenance

Remnant area maintenance

Monitoring and assist in the development of flora and fauna communities

Erosion control

Fire fuel reduction and fire patrols

Weed control

Indigenous species planting

**About You**:
Diploma in Natural Resource Management or equivalent with demonstrated experience

Skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning

Farm Chemical Users Certificate or equivalent

Roadside Traffic Management training

**Requirement of the position**:
Valid Working with Children Check;
Current Victorian Driver’s Licence;
Satisfactory National Police Check; and

Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
