Procurement Specialist

Overview Vestas Wind are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our fantastic and collaborative team in Melbourne. The Construction & Transport Procurement team is responsible for the strategic sourcing of all goods and services for the delivery of our wind energy solutions to our customers. Through early engagement of our supply chain partners, we secure the best value engineered solution for the development and execution of our EPC projects. With a cross functional team of stakeholders, we strategically develop partnerships to enable sustainable growth and drive value for our end customers. This role will form part of a growing team working on strategic sourcing across a portfolio of wind projects, from early sales engagement to final project execution. Responsibilities - Drive the sourcing process throughout the bidding process, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and competitiveness of the supply base - Co-ordinate package negotiations and develop and implement value-adding commercial strategies - Manage the contract closing process, including document drafting and stakeholder approvals via the ERP system - Build supply market intelligence and ensure that the right supply base is available to enable our sustainable growth strategy - Ensure that all cost out and value creation opportunities are identified, and that relevant risk assessments are completed and acted upon to reduce risk Qualifications - Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, law or finance. - 6+ years of procurement, commercial or project management experience, ideally within the energy industry or the construction industry - Well versed in ANZ construction contract drafting and negotiation - Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills - Advanced MS Office skills including data analysis - Well-rounded ERP (SAP/Ariba) user - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Able to manage complex supplier relationships - Initiative and creativity in finding solutions What We Offer - We offer a dynamic role with great development opportunities in a progressive, committed and multicultural environment - You will have a fantastic opportunity to grow your career while contributing to future business results across the value chain - A diverse and strong safety culture in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment - Global and regional career development prospects - Join the World's Leading Wind Energy Solutions Provider - Excellent Career Development opportunities both Nationally and Globally - A workplace that embraces Diversity and Inclusion - 18 weeks Paid Primary Carers Leave - 3 weeks Paid Secondary Carers Leave - Employee Assistance Program Vestas is an equal opportunity employer.
