Overview
Our client URGENTLY requires a Systems Engineer – Communications/Electrical for a 10 months + Contract in Melbourne.
The Systems Engineer – Communications/Electrical will be capable of providing independent technical advice and will be responsible for planning, compliance, documentation, and delivery of high-quality engineering services. All services are to comply with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements. The use of industry best practices is expected.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience and successful delivery of complex Defence Communication System integrations in the C4I or Land/ Maritime domains within short timeframes (circa 18 months) with high levels of design integrity.
- Excellent familiarity with current and emerging military-grade communication technologies including, but not limited to, Switches, Servers, Amplifiers, Filters, Couplers, Antennas, and PLLs.
- Competency using RF test equipment to measure performance (gain, NF, linearity, phase noise, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Defence Minimum Viable Capability (MVC) principles and its application in the design process and Defence capability integration, ODCS, and FIC.
Must have (minimum) NV1 security clearance.
