We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Payroll Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale ERP HR/Payroll transformation program. This role will oversee the end-to-end implementation of SAP HR/Payroll solutions within a complex enterprise environment, ensuring successful migration, integration, and transition to business-as-usual operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of technical SAP ERP HR/Payroll implementations, including migrations and integrations across the full SDLC.

- Manage requirements gathering, traceability, functional and technical specifications for HR/Payroll solutions.

- Oversee complex data migration activities, ensuring integrity and compliance across upstream and downstream HR/Payroll processes.

- Ensure delivery plans, milestones, risks, and budgets are effectively managed and reported.

- Apply the SAP Activate Methodology (or equivalent) to design, develop, and release robust and traceable solutions.

- Work collaboratively across interdependent delivery streams, managing cross-functional teams covering solution design, development, process engineering, and data migration.

- Provide strategic leadership and advice on HR/Payroll processes including pay cycles, superannuation, time & leave, tax laws, enterprise agreements, and financial postings.

- Navigate organisational change, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring, ensuring solutions remain compliant with evolving legislative and tax regulations.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

- 15+ years of technical project management experience, including successful delivery of complex ERP HR/Payroll projects.

- Proven expertise in SAP ERP HR/Payroll solution delivery across migrations, integrations, and multi-release frameworks.

- Strong leadership in managing multi-disciplinary technical teams and stakeholder groups.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in line with enterprise HR/Payroll business calendars and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders.

- A degree or certification in Computer Science, HR/Payroll, Project Management, or Business Technology.

Highly Regarded

- Experience delivering large-scale technical programs within Federal, State, or Local Government.

- Prior HR/Payroll operational or application support experience.

- Familiarity with large multi-release program operations.
