Council of the City of Sydney, Australia Danfoss GmbH Full time

The Impact You'll Make

As our Supply Chain and Operations Manager, Controls Division, reporting to the Director, Controls Global Fulfilment, you’ll play a key role in leading and managing a small supply chain team, warehouse and assembly team based in Sydney and New Zealand.

If you’re the kind of leader who doesn’t just plan, but gets in the thick of the action—solving issues on the floor, fixing bottlenecks—and who leads by doing, this role is for you.

Your impact? Build high-performance teams focused on delivering a smoother flow of goods through NZ Warehouse and Sydney Assembly Centre and Warehouse with fewer supply delays and stockouts. Improved inventory accuracy and mix; better cost control in purchasing and freight.

You’ll also collaborate with multiple stakeholders from Sales, Customer Service and Global Supply Chain and Procurement teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead and mentor a small Supply Chain, Warehouse and Operations teams — hands‑on support, training, recruitment and performance management.

Manage purchasing, inventory control, and demand forecasting to ensure the optimal stock mix, levels, and availability.

Oversee and negotiate local and international freight/logistics to optimise cost, delivery and responsiveness.

Identify operational bottlenecks, lead or execute improvements, and respond decisively to disruptions.

Drive ISO 9001 and EHS compliance — conduct audits, safety rounds and quality checks in daily operations.

What We're Looking For

- Experience in demand planning, operations or logistics management (preferably in manufacturing and/or distribution environments)

- Proven track record in people leadership and team development

- Sound strategic, analytical and problem‑solving skills

- Hands‑on approach: able to get into the details when needed

- Experience with demand planning, inventory optimisation, supplier management and logistics

- Familiarity with ISO 9001 compliance and health & safety standards

- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influence skills

- Proficient in SAP, Anaplan/MM/WMS

- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and evolving environment

What You’ll Get from Us

- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.

- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance. Your well‑being matters to us.

- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected and valued for who they are.

- We offer additional benefits, including company‑paid partner and parental leave, access to wellness programs, and recognition programs.
