Location: Design & Support Centre, Sydney, NSW, AU

Since 1977, King Living has pioneered quality Australian design, continually pushing the boundaries of what furniture can achieve. Designed to adapt to our changing lives and last for generations, our furniture marries the power of innovation with traditional handcrafted methods.
King Living has expanded from a homegrown business into a global brand. A family owned and run Australian company headquartered from our Support Office in Sydney, our Showrooms and manufacturing centres span Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, USA, China and Thailand.
At King Living, we are dedicated to creating simplicity and balance in both our living spaces and our work environment. We take pride in our past accomplishments and are thrilled by the possibilities of the future.
The Opportunity
As a People & Culture Business Partner you’ll be more than a support function. You’ll be a trusted advisor, working alongside our People Operations Manager and senior leaders to create a people experience that sparks creativity, builds connection, and empowers individuals to thrive.
At King Living, innovation runs deep — in our products and in our people. You’ll design strategies that are as bold and forward-thinking as the designs we’re famous for, ensuring our teams feel valued, inspired, and ready to do their best work.
This is your chance to shape a workplace where people don’t just succeed in their roles — they discover new opportunities, expand their skills, and grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
What You will Be Doing
- Work alongside the People Operations Manager and broader leadership teams to deliver thoughtful, end-to-end people support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring every experience feels purposeful and engaging.
- Champion initiatives that shape a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture, embedding our core values while encouraging fresh ideas and innovative ways of working.
- Partner across diverse business units — including supply chain, manufacturing, design, retail, and customer service — to craft people strategies that not only align with business objectives but also elevate how we think about people and performance.
- Coach and mentor managers, providing them with the tools and confidence to build empowered, engaged, and future-ready teams.
- Deliver expert guidance on policies, performance, recruitment, employee relations, and workforce planning, always with an eye on how to do things smarter, better, and differently.
- Lead the resolution of employee casework with a balanced, people-centric approach, focusing on positive, pragmatic outcomes.
- Drive meaningful feedback loops through exit interviews and data insights, identifying opportunities to enhance engagement and employee experience.
- Support the annual salary review process with a considered, data-informed approach, aligning remuneration to market benchmarks and modern awards while driving fairness and transparency.
- Reimagine people processes by embracing innovation and AI-driven efficiencies, helping us work smarter while always keeping the human element at the centre.
What You will Bring
- Solid foundation in human resources, ideally gained within dynamic environments such as supply chain, manufacturing, design, retail, or customer service, where you’ve delivered real impact.
- The ability to see the bigger picture while understanding the unique drivers of people engagement and performance — balancing commercial acumen with a genuine care for people.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the confidence to navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
- High proficiency in people systems like Employment Hero, SAP, and Job Adder. An openness to leveraging technology and data to drive smarter, more effective outcomes.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and build trust across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to think outside of the box and elevate both the employee experience and business performance.
- A willingness to engage directly with our teams, including regular visits to our showrooms and warehouse, ensuring a deep understanding of our people and operational rhythms.
Why You will Love Working with Us
- Daily Perks: freshly brewed coffee from our onsite barista – fuel your day with a perfect cup.
- Generous Discounts: handsome employee and family & friends discounts on our premium products.
- Family First: paid parental leave to support you through all stages of life.
- Career Growth: be part of a fast-growing, innovative company that values your professional development.
- Collaborative Culture: join a supportive, values-driven team that celebrates passion, integrity, collaboration and innovation.
