The Role
The APS 5 Engagement Support Officer is an integral part of the ADF Cadets Directorate, accountable under direction for communication, media and events in support of Navy, Army and Air Force cadets. In this role you will assist in the development and preparation of communication products for a range of internal and external stakeholders, including social media, and ministerial and executive correspondence. The successful applicant will be required to consult broadly, consider and develop options and proposed courses of action in relation to public affairs guidance, communication, media, and event issues management. T

Quality stakeholder engagement is a fundamental requirement to build and maintain productive relationships within Reserve and Cadet Support Division, and with the three cadet organisations and external stakeholders. here may be opportunities to travel in this role.

About our Team
The Reserve and Cadet Support Division provides a range of support services including ADF Cadets Directorate; Youth Policy and Programs; Youth Protection and Reporting; ICT Services and Projects; and ADF Reserve and Employer Support. These directorates work together to contribute to Defence people capability. The ADF Cadets Directorate provides complementary supporting and enabling functions through a collaborative approach between the ADF cadet programs administered by Navy, Army and Air Force. The Directorate seeks to achieve standardisation of governance and engagement support across the three programs, where common and agreed. As part of the ADF Cadets Directorate, you will work in a small but highly motivated team that offers you training and mentoring, flexible working conditions, a broad variety of work and the opportunity to challenge yourself in a rewarding working environment.
