You'll manage production and non-production environments for our core trading and reporting systems, implementing proactive monitoring and performance tuning strategies.**Key responsibilities include:*** Managing SQL Server environments (2016-2022) across Sydney and London operations* Implementing Always-On High Availability solutions and disaster recovery strategies* Collaborating with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets* Automating recurring DBA tasks and developing tools for operational efficiency* Supporting migration and modernisation projects aligned with our global data strategy* Providing Level 2 database support and incident resolution following ITIL methodologies**What Type Of Person Will Be Successful**We're looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA with at least 5 years of hands-on experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You should have strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities.**Essential experience:*** SQL Server DBA expertise with proven automation experience* Strong knowledge of evolutionary database designs and DevOps processes* Hands-on experience with Always-On High Availability solutions* Database backup, recovery, and performance tuning expertise* Security implementation including TDE encryption* Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting* Experience with git-based source control systems* Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI* Eligibility to work in Australia permanently**The Things We Live By:**CMC Markets is powered by our people.
