Role
St Andrews Christian College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher (Music) to join our team in Wantirna South. As a Primary School Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students within the Primary School department. This is a part-time, ongoing role with an estimated FTE of 0.5.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Assess and monitor students/' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
- Establish clear objectives for each lesson and communicate them to students in an accessible manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop well-rounded educational experiences for students.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and maintain open communication regarding students/' progress and well-being.
- Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities or school events.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of primary education principles, and a genuine passion for nurturing student growth. Desired Skills and Experience
- Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications as required by Victorian Institute of Teaching
- Demonstrated experience teaching primary school students
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans
- Effective communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians
