What you'll do
We are looking to hire a talented sales leader to help lead and continue to drive success within our New‑Co Commercial Sales Team in Sydney. As our SMB Sales Manager, you will identify new customers, creative ways to drive more businesses to purchase and utilize Docusign’s diverse solution suite. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Regional Vice President, Commercial Sales - ANZ.
Responsibility
- Manage and Lead Account Executive (AE) SMB New‑Co sales team on a daily basis
- Develop and execute processes and strategies and ensure compliance to internal data management and reporting including use of Salesforce.com
- Assess sales activities and forecasts to determine sales progress and required improvements
- Recommend and implement improvements to reach sales goals
- Coach salespeople to develop their sales skills including vertical market management, forecasting, prospecting within account base, negotiations, and other necessary skills; while maintaining individual accountability to goals
- Maintain and protect Docusign core by hiring culturally aligned team members and leading by example
- Contribute to complex negotiations and the closing of the new business, including appropriate use of Senior Sales and Commercial Executives to maximize results
- Work with each AE to develop and implement vertical‑wide business and sales plans to achieve sales quota
- Ensure the team effectively leverages sales tools and systems consistently and in alignment with Rules of Engagement
- Communicate and prioritize product and business needs from the field to appropriate corporate departments
- Identify and support opportunities for the training and professional development of your team
- Operate well in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment without requiring significant supervision
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in‑office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in‑office expectation)
Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring
Basic
- 2+ years experience in management with previous success in sales / individual contributor positions
- BA degree
Preferred
- Proven ability to consistently generate revenue exceed quota by executing process for identifying, qualifying, closing new business as well as not limited to growing an existing install base
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective business, sales, vertical market plans
- Ability to successfully negotiate close complex contracts
- Demonstrated ability to successfully resolve situations that are broadly defined, complex and diverse
