Job Description
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.
Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is currently seeking Multi skilled Plant Operators to share their expertise within our civil teams.
Successful candidates must be local to the Central-West Orana region and be willing to drive to Merotherie each day and work overtime including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Building access tracks including clearing vegetation, earth moving and drainage installation
- Foundation work for tower pads
- Bulk earth works and preconstruction work for substations
- General physical and manual labouring tasks as required
Required Skills and Competencies
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience working on large scale construction projects
- Certificate III in Civil Construction
- Plant operating tickets such as; Grader, Excavator, Skid Steer, Dozer, Roller and Compactor
- Full C class driver’s license at minimum
- Construction white card
- Own vehicle
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and police check
