We are currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team.

Whether you’re looking for a live-on-island lifestyle or prefer to commute from Cairns, we have options available.

About the role

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll provide high quality guest service across our restaurant, bar, and café outlets. You’ll work closely with both the Front of House and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth service delivery and a great guest dining experience.

Your role will include:

- Greeting guests and providing professional, welcoming service
- Taking orders, serving food and beverages and processing transactions
- Supporting bar, café, restaurant or buffet operations as rostered
- Communicating guest needs and dietary requirements to the kitchen
- Ensuring service areas remain clean, organised and well presented
- Escalating guest concerns to Supervisors where required
- Working on a rotating roster, that will include weekends and public holidays

What We’re Looking For:

- A positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of customer service
- Strong communication and team support skills
- Ability to work in a busy and dynamic environment
- Well-presented and reliable
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willingness to obtain

Desirable but not essential:

- Bar, barista or previous hospitality experience

About Green Island Resort

Green Island is a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay situated in the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. It is an iconic tourist destination popular with international and domestic day visitors and is home to the eco-sensitive Green Island Resort.

Green Island Resort is part of the multi-award winning Quicksilver Group. With just 46 rooms, the 4 Star Green Island Resort offers a unique reef and rainforest environment, complemented with the luxuries of an island resort. When the last day visitor ferry departs to the mainland, the island becomes an exclusive retreat. The Resort also manages the island’s day visitor facilities, restaurant and food outlets.

We are a close team and pride ourselves on first class customer service providing a quality and memorable experience for our island guests. A small community of Resort staff live on the island, with other positions commuting daily from nearby Cairns on a fast 45 minute catamaran journey.
