Your new role

Join our Early Childhood Approach (ECA) team as an Early Intervention Speech Pathologist and make a meaningful impact for children aged 0-6 years with developmental delays and their families. We embrace a relationship-based approach, fostering strong connections with families to support each child's unique journey.

Utilising thekey-worker model, you will be the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent and family centred care. Our work is short term, sessions are community based and occur across a 3-month span.You will be supporting a culturally diverse clientele and part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Early Childhood Educators.

- Based from home 50% of the time.
- Perform functional assessments for young children to determine appropriate supports
- Collaborate with families and trans-disciplinary teams to implement individualised intervention plans.
- Provide direct Speech Pathology services in both individual and group settings.
- Support families, educators, and professionals in creating inclusive environments and staying updated on best practices.

Skills and Experience

You will be a qualified Speech Pathologist with significant practice experience and:

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology (essential).
- Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (essential).
- Experience working with young children with developmental delays or disability and their families.
- Openness to work in an innovative, dynamic and relationally informed early intervention model.
- Knowledge of early childhood intervention principles and best practice.
- Current drivers' license, willingness/ability to travel to clients (pool cars provided).
- Current Blue Card.
