About us
The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia. We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieve value for money, collect revenue to fund government services and administer grants and subsidies to the WA community.
The work area
This role sits within the Digital Transformation Unit which is part of the Data Science and Special Projects Directorate. The Digital Transformation Unit provides advice on digital investment and transformation across Government.
The opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team working on high-impact projects at various stages, from problem definition through to delivery. The role allows for a motivated individual to develop strong networks within DTF and across Government and provide exposure to a wide range of policy matters to fast-track your public sector career.
In this team, you will:
- lead DTF’s input into assessment and assurance activities in relation to significant ICT projects, and input into relevant whole-of-government ICT policy matters; and
- work collaboratively with stakeholders across Government, including Senior Executives, to negotiate the sharing of information, influence the shaping of deliverables, and respond to emerging risks and issues.
There is one Level 7 permanent full-time position available for filling within the Digital Transformation Unit.
