About the Role

We're seeking aTransport Operations Team Leaderwho thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and isn't afraid to make bold decisions backed by smart insights. Reporting to the Group Transport Manager, you'll lead and oversee transport operations across the business, ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. Your focus will be on performance, safety, and continuous improvement — using data to drive decisions and lead change that matters.

Your impact will be felt in:

- Driving commercial performance through budgeting, contract performance reviews, and cost tracking
- Leading a team of Transport Operations Controllers to deliver high-quality, efficient, and safe transport solutions
- Partnering closely with DC operations, compliance teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless planning and execution
- Monitoring service levels by collating and using data insights to quickly resolve issues and champion change for process improvement
- Driving a strong safety culture with compliance at the core (including Chain of Responsibility)
- Acting as a subject matter expert and ambassador for Group Transport in cross-functional initiatives

About You

We are looking for a proactive leader — someone who doesn’t just manage operations but improves them. You understand the end-to-end supply chain, and you’re not afraid to challenge the status quo if it means better results for the team, the business, and our customers.

In addition, you bring:

- Proven experience in transport operations, across multi-modal freight
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, particularly in a retail environment
- High level of business acumen — you're confident with budgets, P&L, and financial insights
- A collaboration mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience leading change initiatives and improving operational KPIs
